AOP Health is the European pioneer for integrated therapies for rare diseases and in critical care. To enhance our team in Vienna we are looking for an IT Consultant/ Business Partner for R&D or Commercial (f/m/d).
In this role, you will act as a strategic bridge between business units and IT, ensuring that IT projects align with organizational goals and deliver measurable value. As a key player in digital transformation, you will identify business needs, evaluate IT solutions, and guide projects from concept to implementation. The IT Business Partner/Consultant collaborates closely with stakeholders in R&D or Commercial, advising on technology's role in enhancing processes and translating business requirements into actionable IT specifications.
What Your Day To Day Will Look Like
- Manage projects within the department as well as interdepartmental projects
- Build strong partnerships with business units, aligning IT initiatives with organizational objectives
- Recommend and evaluate IT solutions to address both immediate needs and strategic goals
- Develop business cases and feasibility studies to justify IT projects
- Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements
- Map current processes, identify optimization opportunities, and translate needs into actionable specifications
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
- Oversee the execution of IT projects, acting as the primary liaison between business and technical teams
- Ensure smooth adoption of new technologies through effective change management
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks, ensuring projects stay on track
- Monitor implemented solutions, gathering feedback for optimization and driving ongoing improvements.
Your Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Business Informatics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business consulting, IT project management, or a similar role in the pharmaceutical industry
- Proven ability to align IT and digital solutions with strategic business goals
- Expertise in business processes, system design, and requirement engineering.
- Strong analytical thinking and excellent communication skills
- Experience in early-stage project tasks such as scope definition, feasibility studies, and budget planning
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate and influence across the matrix organization
- Customer-focused mindset, able to proactively build bridges and communicate complex technical information in a concise and clear manner
- Well organized, able to focus on several projects and prioritize effectively
