Career

Vienna, 17.12.2024. The globally operating pharmaceutical company AOP Health is gearing up for continued growth. To this end, the new position of Vice President of Market Access, Public Affairs & Patient Advocacy has been created and filled, while the role of Area Director DACH has been reassigned.

Mag. Bettina Bernhard, MIM MBA, became Vice President of Market Access, Public Affairs & Patient Advocacy

Since June 2024 Bettina Bernhard has been heading the Market Access, Public Affairs, and Patient Advocacy divisions at AOP Health. In this role, she is responsible for ensuring that the company's products are accessible to patients in various markets, fostering and expanding relationships with political decision-makers and European interest groups, and promoting close collaboration with patient organizations.

For the molecular geneticist and economist, her work goes beyond numbers and strategies. She sees her department's mission as ensuring that the right therapies reach the right patients at a fair price.

Bernhard believes the key to success lies in collaboration across all company functions:

Michael Lange, PhD, is Area Director of the DACH-Region

Since June 2024, biophysicist and biologist Michael Lange has been leading AOP Health’s DACH region - one of the company’s most significant growth regions globally. In his new role, Lange aims to look beyond national borders and leverage synergies between Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. He states:

The linguistic and structural similarities of these countries, particularly regarding market and reimbursement systems, provide a strong foundation for more efficient collaboration and sustainable growth.

Another focus of his work lies in digitalization. For instance, Lange is advancing the implementation of integrated multichannel marketing approaches to optimally link marketing, sales, and medical functions. In addition to external market strategy, Lange emphasizes organizational development within the region.
